I would like to share my thoughts on an inspiring online article I read as my first blog entry for Idea Bloc. The article talks about the importance and correlation between confidence and success. It used Bill Gates as an example to show how he had the confidence and courage in believing his skills and judgement and in the end became one of most successful (and wealthy) man in the world. In many cases, we judge the success of wealthy people based on the amount of physical wealth they acquired, but for the “not so wealthy” people, in many cases, their success are mostly seen as luck. It is true a person’s upbringing and family background plays a part in that person’s future success, however, there are countless individuals who made a name for themselves not from luck, but from hard work, dedication and their sense of confidence. I believe in order to build my confidence; I need to further equip myself. I am not just talking about getting master degrees or building a wider people network, I am talking about the mind-set. I need to have the courage to let my creative mind-set go beyond my traditional thinking boundaries, I need to train to always think outside the box, don’t be afraid to think different (That should sound familiar to you), if I can do that, I am confident I can help Idea Bloc to come up with brave and innovative ideas and products, I am ready Idea Bloc, BRING IT ON!
